Would you say it was a bad sign if you started hyperventaliting and found your self on the verge of a MAJOR anxiety attack upon approaching the university that you graduated from a year ago but had to return to for a seminar?

Last week for the mixtape over at Carrie's place. Also, last chance to vote in the contest that I have my picture linked for in the sidebar.

I am currently flipping back and forth between the Nascar race and Law and Order. What an exciting Saturday night! Next week, I'm going to the race in Southern California - it'll be my first race but I'm excited. I didn't really watch until after my dad was home so sick from cancer/chemo, but then I found a driver I like (who, everyone else doesn't - which is half the fun!) and I can't wait to see it live!

School starts on Monday. I know a number of the kids in the class and several were excited to see me at open house on Friday, which was good.

K starts Kindergarten on Monday. I can't believe it - there's no way she's big enough for anything but preschool! At least she's grown some lately, so she shouldn't be the smallest one of all the students. B will be in third grade, and I think the structure of back to school will be good for him. He's been quite impossible for much of the summer. We had a good couple of days at the end of the summer, but for much of it I was out of ideas for how to work with him.

Oops, I didn't realize it'd been so long.

The Olympics are really messing up my sleeping patterns. Along with working 5 days and going to baseball two days in the last week, I've kind of lost track of time.

And honestly? I don't have much to say. School starts this week, which is stressful, to say the least. Beginning with the question of how to pay for my classes.

I'll be around later.

In the meantime, go visit Carrie (in the blogroll, I'm too lazy to link right now - and I can NEVER remember how to spell it... ) - her theme this week is homebodies - a song that makes you think of home. I'm struggling to come up with a song, but I will eventually (oops again.... she wasn't in the blogroll? how did that happen? Sorry Carrie!).

And go vote for my pictures on photrade - the second option in the sidebar. Please? Thanks!!

Why was it so hard for people to understand that all I want to do for my birthday is order a pizza, dessert and watch the opening ceremonies tomorrow night?

I mean, really, it is my birthday, right? Not their's last time I checked! So what if I don't want to go out drinking.

At least I've got a ballgame coming up next week (even if my team has been totally sucking lately, I'm still happy that I get go) - my first one of the year.

There is a lot more that I could say in the post below, but I don't feel comfortable sharing too much anymore. I do have every intention of responding to the one comment that I did receive but apparently I'm a slacker and never got around to it this week!

In other news, I registered for a $235 test and now want to find a study guide. The only problem is that the only guide I can find cost $60. That makes it a $300 test, ack! But, I decided to do it because I have a 30% off coupon and $15 in Border's Bucks (yay for survey sites online!), as well as the remainder of my Christmas gift card. I can accept $30ish for a book. Plus I'd be very pissed if I failed the test and had to pay $150+ to take it again.

And now, I need to find a copy of Office for Mac (preferably 2008 edition, but I'm not that picky). I think I've found 2 people to go in together with me, making it a fairly reasonable purchase. But then I hear things about iWork which is like 1/2 the price and can be used on 2x as many computers and I wonder if anyone out there has any advice? Which would you choose?
