What a good day

May I just reiterate how much I love XM radio? And my new pink iPod Nano?

Okay, now that I've got that out of the way.

I managed to finally go get my oil changed today. I, for the first time ever, didn't drive 7500 miles in three months. For me, that's a major deal. Three months past last Friday, and I'm still about 800 miles away from hitting that mark. Amazing. I'm sure I saved a lot of money in gas too, I'll have to check.

I also ran into my friend who had a baby about a month ago. So she now has a 2 year old and 1 month old. And I got to hold that precious baby girl and play with the older one. I love that family, I need to spend more time with them, even if I don't particularly care to go to same church as them anymore.

On to my book of the day. I chose to read this one because someone out there in blog world (I think it was at Chronicles of Nanny-a?) read it this semester and I was infinitely jealous. Because I wanted to read it to. I used Borders Rewards and a personal shopping day to purchase it and loved every second.

The memoirs were great, and many left me wanting more. The back cover says that if you are a parent, a nanny or just interested in the relationship between parents and their careproviders you should check it out. I recommend it to everyone - if nothing else, it's a fun read.

Next up: I don't know, I made a list last night and then promptly realized about 12 more books I'd post. So, we'll see.

Well, THAT certainly looks like a book I should read! I think one of my clients gave me a gift card for Christmas. Maybe I'll skip Harvey Karp and get that one instead...
